This week, United Dairymen of Arizona, along with the entire trucking industry, celebrate Truck Driver Appreciation Week. We honor the millions of professional truck drivers who deliver America’s food and goods every day.
At UDA, we rely on milk haulers to deliver fresh milk from the farm to our processing plant in Tempe. Milk comes in around the clock, rain or shine, on weekends, and on holidays. On average, over 200 loads of milk come to our plant every day.
The hard-working men and women behind the wheel safely transport over 4 billion lbs of milk from our farms every year. That translates to over one million gallons of milk per day!
Milk haulers are not only responsible for transporting milk, but they also take the first samples of milk to ensure it is safe before being offloaded.
Celebrated annually, this year’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week runs from September 11-17, 2022. Professional truck drivers always step up when they were needed most and have kept the economy on its feet despite facing unprecedented obstacles.
This year, UDA asks you to join us and ATA in recognizing the significant contributions our professional truck drivers make to our lives. Their efforts contribute greatly to our quality of life and truly move America forward.
