At an operations level, we support the safe and rapid flow of dairy product from incoming testing to in-process testing, to finished product testing using processes such as laser diffraction, high performance liquid chromatography, standard plate counts, pathogen testing, titratable acidity, antibiotic testing, and many others.
UDA’s 24/7 maintenance team is our secret to seamless productivity. Our production plant is the heart of UDA, and the maintenance department is its lifeblood, ensuring operations run smoothly, every single minute of every single day.
We offer a wide array of maintenance services, which include equipment inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting. No machinery is too complex for us – we ensure smooth operations, minimizing downtime.
We support a hi-tech mechanical and sanitary closed process using the latest in valve, pump, motor, HMI, PLC, and food process technology. Close coordination with Production Operations and Quality Assurance is essential in planning and executing efficient maintenance procedures to ensure the flow of quality product.
We are always learning, and we maintain several different product lines as well as plant facilities — all of which have their own unique maintenance challenges to master.
As essential members of the United Dairymen of Arizona team, our Production personnel play a crucial role in the creation of a diverse range of high-quality dairy ingredients. Our expertise ensures that the process from raw material to finished product is seamless, executed with the utmost care and precision.
From managing the operations of advanced machinery to conducting inspection procedures and maintaining regulatory compliance, every task carried out by our Production personnel contributes significantly to our promise of delivering excellence. Our meticulous attention to detail allows for the smooth functioning of our production lines and the consistent delivery of top-tier dairy products.
Our in-process operations are “hi-tech mech” — the mechanical version of hi-tech. Key operations such as evaporation, heat treating, reverse osmosis, centrifuging, drying, packaging, automated clean in place, and so on, are monitored through human-machine interface (HMI) “big screen” displays which inform and alert control room activities. Designated equipment operators work together with support resources such as receivers, sanitation, forklift drivers, etc. to keep things flowing from front to end.
