UDA Today
United Dairymen of Arizona (UDA) occupies a remarkable niche in the global dairy picture. UDA's seventy members produce approximately 3.5 billion pounds of milk annually, making it the thirteenth-largest dairy co-op in the United States.
Within the state of Arizona, UDA ranks as the sixth largest privately held company, and contributes in excess of $5 billion to the state's economy.
UDA enjoys long-term relationships with all the fluid milk processors, ensuring a steady market for approximately 30% of its fluid milk. Another 30% percent of its product is sold to Schreiber Foods, Inc., at its cheese plant located on the UDA plant site in Tempe.
The remaining UDA production is destined for dry dairy ingredient customers throughout the United States and around the world. Thus, while UDA holds a dominant position as the main fluid milk supplier in Arizona, it also competes aggressively on the world market.
